Extensive Gear Survey - Part One
MTL Staff

The parents chimed in about their preferences so now it is time to launch the list - in parts. We had over 300 voting in the survey and we gathered results in about 15 categories. Some products were less than enthusiastically endorsed. Some were overwhelmingly approved. Manufacturers take note!

We will cover seats, and swings in part one, plus one secret category for the end of the article.

In almost every case a specific brand name was mentioned. I would say that speaks pretty highly of the particular maufacturers. I suppose is also suggests that advertisers are doing a good job as well. Either way, us parents have the final vote. We, after all, feel strongly because the items work for us. And with twins that matters more you you can imagine. I will say this, MyTwinLink.com has no commercial interest in this list as we receive no compensation what-so-ever for placing this in print.

It is interesting to note that highchairs were not high on the list. My personal view is that with twins in the house it is just to space consuming. We either took it for granted that everyone has them or we made due with other options. Of course Graco and Fisher Price are often noted but Bumpo, Jumperoo and Mee Too were also referenced specifically.

Portable swings and chairs were highly recommended. As most of us know you simply need a spot to put one or both twin so that you have free hands for basic jobs.

As for our last category it was listed by 4 voters - it was wine, of the red and white variety. Obviously this came out of the blue but produced a laugh with our team. For those that imbibe, when the kids are asleep of course, a beverage to cap the day is certainly welcome. No particular brands were mentioned so no credit can be given to a particular vintner.

Thanks parents and check back for the remaining 6-7 parts of the survey. As for the grandparents that might happen by, here is your list for the shower of for spares when the gang comes to visit.
